Bhastrika Pranayama (Bellows Breath)

This powerful pranayama generates heat, boosts circulation, and energizes the body. It is excellent for clearing Kapha's heaviness and dampness, invigorating the mind and body.

How to Practice:

  1. Sit comfortably with a straight spine.

  2. Take a deep inhale through your nose, expanding your belly.

  3. Forcefully exhale through your nose while actively contracting your abdominal muscles, then immediately inhale deeply again.

  4. Continue the rapid, rhythmic inhale-exhale cycle with equal emphasis on both inhalation and exhalation.

Repetition:

  • Practice 10–15 breaths per round, followed by a pause for a few normal breaths.

  • Perform 2–3 rounds, focusing on building warmth and energy in your body.

  • Avoid this practice if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, or any respiratory conditions.
