Anuloma Viloma Pranayama (Forceful Alternate Nasal  Breathing)

How to Practice:

  • Sit comfortably with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed.

  • Rest your left hand on your lap and bring your right hand into Vishnu Mudra (fold your index and middle fingers toward your palm).

  • Use your thumb to gently close your right nostril and inhale deeply and forcefully to your capacity through your left nostril.

  • Close your left nostril with your ring finger, release your thumb from your right nostril, and exhale fully and forcefully to your capacity through the right nostril.

  • Inhale deeply and forcefully through your right nostril to your full capacity, close it with your thumb, and exhale fully and forcefully through the left nostril. This is one round.

Repetition:

  • Continue this alternating pattern for 7 rounds (the above steps complete one round).

  • After completing 7 rounds, pause for a few minutes to observe and settle into whatever arises.

  • Repeat for 7 more rounds, focusing on the energizing rhythm of your breath and the balance it creates.

  • This slightly more vigorous approach can revitalize your mind, enhance alertness, and balance energy while soothing restless thoughts.
